My 40 year old has recently been diagnosed with BPD.  They also have a drinking issue.  Currently they have just moved in with us and we are finding it extremely difficult.  Denies they have  BPD although doctor did diagnose it.  Hard to get them to seek help.  Threats of suicide anytime always hanging over our heads.  Our lives are on hold.  I am reading a bokk, "stop walking on eggshells" which recommends this site.  Any advice would be most welcome.

Hi and welcome, please take a look around our website .  Look at “ boundaries” under the tools tab above .  It is also necessary for us to administer self care to ourselves.  I take it your adult child is not in therapy at this time?  Sometimes it helps when us parents have our own therapy as well for support .  What behaviors is your adult child displaying ?
