I'm sitting at home feeling helpless as my wife transports our daughter across the state to a hospital with an adolescent psych ward.  I don't want to recount the whole story of events that led to this but I'm sure this crowd can fill in the blanks better than any other.  She isn't safe at home and neither are we and no one seems to be listening so the professionals we are working with told us we can go to this hospital and just beg, plead, and demand that she be treated.  No matter how perfect she seems at the moment they see her, she enters a rage, then attempts suicide the moment we try to enforce any barriers at home.

I'm not really sure what i'm doing this for but I guess writing it out to you folks helps.

Hi Gopher and welcome.

Writing things out here can help, at least a bit.  We get it here.  We understand the need to talk and be heard and acknowledged too so I hope you continue to post as you feel the need.  Talking with people who have similar experiences can help us feel less isolated and lost.

Is your daughter now in the hospital?  How did the trip go?

Share more when you can.  We are listening.

Welcome and hello and pull up a chair.

Feeling helpless is the worst.

Any updates on how things went at the hospital?
