Hello. I am new here. My adult daughter with bpd lives with me. 50 % of the time, I can manage. But 50% of the time I dont know what to do. bpd is only one of her diagnoses. She also has fixed delusions that she is pregnant. She attempts suicide or self-injury on a weekly basis. Her cutting was always on the top of her arm. Now she is cutting on the inside of her wrist. I fear that she is growing braver and will actually split her wrist soon. She is on multiple psych meds and receives mental health care. She has been hospitalized regularly. She vistd the ER at least once a week because of suicidal thoughts or self injury. We live in a very small rural town with few to no resources. However the entire town knows her challenges and watches out for her and tries their best to help her. She has been arrested several times for criminal trespassing at her ex boyfriends house. She has used meth in the past. I believe she is sober now. But I can never truly know.

Hi Katee Welcome new member (click to insert in post)

The situation with your daughter sounds quite challenging indeed. I am very sorry she engages in self-harming behaviors and has also attempted suicide.

Your daughter lives with you 50% of the time. You also mention that she is getting psych meds and receives therapy, do you feel like this has had any positive effects on her behavior?

When was your daughter diagnosed and how long has she been receiving treatment?

Take care Virtual hug (click to insert in post)

Hi Katy. Welcome to the group. I'm glad you are here. But I am sorry for all your going through. It's great that your community pulls together and looks out for your daughter although it's sad that they have to. It sounds like you are doing your very best on a very tough journey. We are here to walk with you.
