I am at a loss at how to help my daughter who continuously self sabotages and seems so unhappy. She tells me she hates all her family members and sends very nasty emails to them which seem ridiculous to a sane person. I have tried broaching the subject of outside help but she gets very aggressive and ends up attacking me and telling me to wait for the suicide note which will tell everyone about how bad I am. I have set some boundaries as she tries to call me continuously during the day and night. I often dont answer and will cut short a conversation with a polite "well I am going now". I have tried standing up to her but that really escalates the situation where I feel I am in danger. Help!

She seems to care a lot about connecting with you for someone who *hates* you  Frustrated/Unfortunate (click to insert in post)

Granted, she doesn't yet have the skills she needs to connect with you in an effective way, but she is definitely wanting connection with you.

Is your daughter living with you?
