I raised a child who was beautiful on the outside but angry and jealous on the inside. She punished me her whole life and blamed me for all her disappointments. What's a mother for!
After 30 years of gut wrenching drama, I detached, moved to another country and spent 2 years having trauma therapy, stem cell transplant while trying to carve out a new life with my wonderful husband.
Bomb! My daughter now 33 has had a baby.
Another set of circumstances...but difficult to digest.
SOUND FAMILIAR?
I would love to hear your story - please.

Our objective is to better understand the struggles our child faces and to learn the skills to improve our relationship and provide a supportive environment and also improve on our own emotional responses, attitudes and effectiveness as a family leaders

Hello missymoo  Welcome new member (click to insert in post)

I can imagine that is difficult to digest and feels like a bomb, your daughter has a baby. I'm not a grandmother, there are many here as you'll read.

Hands up to you  Doing the right thing (click to insert in post) keep up your radical self care missymoo, it so important we do. My DD recently took part in a radical self care research project and gained much from the experience.

I hope you'll hang out with us and share more as you wish.
