I cheated on my wife more than once and she has borderline personality disorder. I do want to be a good spouse to her and show her the love she deserves. I have been doing all i can to make up for my mistakes. Will she ever forgive me or will the sins of my past always haunt me. I do not expect her to just completely forgive me and forget it happened. Although i dont think i shod be reminded about it every day.

Hi No good,

Welcome

I'd like to welcome you to the family. I'm sorry that you're going through this. It's hard to feel like things are moving forward in a r/s when a pwBPD is reminding you of the things that you did in the past. I can't predict the future and every one that is a pwBPD is a different person although BPD behaviours are excaberated during periods of stress. Are you talking to a T or a marriage counselor about the past marital issues?

Everyone is different, and I can't tell you for certain. However, in my experience, the chances of her ever trusting you again are incredibly small. Someone with BPD has tremendous difficulty trusting someone who has never cheated on them, and so trusting someone who has cheated is going to be unimaginably difficult. She might say on a given day that she forgives you, but I don't see how that feeling is going to last. I'm sorry. You're in a very difficult situation.
