Hello everyone,
My 21 year old daughter has BPD among other things like narcissism, substance use disorder and eating disorder. She is in a treatment program for addictions right now but plans on going back to being a sex worker which will for sure lead to a relapse. I can't let go of my anger and disappointment. I am a recent widow and trying to deal with the loss of her dad, my husband. Dealing with all of this alone seems overwhelming. I have thoughts about my daughter that I am not proud of. Our family has been dealing with this since she was about 13 and I'm exhausted.

Hello Gitte,

How deeply painful this is. Does her counselor at the treatment center know of her plan for sex work? Do they address this? Do they address goal setting for vocational goals and for her to develop her confidence In preparing for a career that uses her aptitudes? Does she live independently, from you? Have you been able to plug into a local support group, such as one your local chapter of NAMI would have? How are ways of your self-care helping you? Do you have counseling for yourself, to support your morale in this excruciating journey?
