There are two CEs on the case and one of them is missing in action (MIA). Over many months, I've reached out numerous times by email and phone. The only response I've received is to say they are recovering and will get to the case soon. This is super frustrating since pwBPD is going through extreme dysregulations and convinced the other CE my adversary is an unfit parent.

I see my options as:

1) Wait it out and play catch-up with the MIA CE once they're better [could take months]
2) Request the MIA CE get replaced [could take months]
3) Request the judge time box the reports [could take months]

Can my lawyer submit a motion to have the reports time-boxed? Will it be granted or is it a waste of money?

Any other suggestions? Requesting the CE to get replaced is a bad option, right?

I haven't heard the phrase "time-boxed" before; can you fill me in?

Running the options past your L first seems like the way to go, whatever you end up doing.

Gut feeling is to accelerate any process, have your L hold some feet to the fire; again, for whatever path you take.

Not sure whether requesting CE replacement is a bad idea; if alternative is that only one CE is on your case and it's one who has been snowed by your ex... seems like there is a way to "tactfully" request a replacement. I mean, it's "nobody's fault" people get sick, so there must be a way to leverage that to get an on-the-ball CE assigned?

We did not have CE's so this is speculation.

Time boxed means to put a (start time and) deadline on the reports.

A beleaguered CE might work in my favor. How is a sick person going to vociferously argue a point (against me)?
