Relationship struggles with daughter

Hi, new to group! Have had the worst two weeks. My 20 year old daughter started seeing a new therapist 3 weeks ago (wanted to see someone specializing in dbt). Two weeks ago was accused of being an “emotionally immature” parent who was never there for her. . She left to stay at a friends and we haven’t really spoke to her since. This accusation was
completely shocking, everything literally seemed fine the day before. Help!

Hi,
I'm also new. I joined a couple weeks ago. I've been struggling with my daughter since she was a teenager. My advice is to give her time and she will come around. Actually, if that's the worst it's been for you, you are lucky. I've been through hell and back so many times. I'm glad to hear she is seeking help. I can't get my 23 year old daughter to talk with a therapist. When she was younger I had all kinds of issues, therapists, programs but since she was 16 though, I haven't been able to get her to see anyone. Our relationship at the moment is tainted and she refuses any contact with me or any with my granddaughter who is 2. They lived with me since she was pregnant and I basically raised my granddaughter. It's been very hard the past 8 months but my hope is one day it will be better.
I hope she continues therapy and it might benefit the both of you to go together. I've also asked my daughter the same of her, but she wont go.
I wish you luck and peace.

Hello,
So sorry to hear what you have been going through. My daughter has been having issues and seeing a therapist since age 15. It seems like everything went sideways when she started seeing this new therapist. We are thankful she is in therapy but are worried what sort of ideas she is attaching into with her new therapist. I saw a therapist this past week and she is agreeable to family therapy so we are hoping we can move through this together.
