In this time my wife has be come impossible to live with and this is now seriously affecting my children and I can not see a way out at the moment so any advice and guidance or support would be great fully received

I am in a similar boat, so all I can say is, you will find support here.  My children suffered a lot from neglect and eventually manipulation.  Eventually, even they have been blamed for her issues.  Well, my influence on them.

You have my positive thoughts.  Stay strong.

18 years is a long time.

How old are your kids?

In what ways are your kids struggling?

Glad you posted. It's tough to feel alone in these relationships and there's a lot of support here from people who understand.
