As we encounter a new year, we non-BPDs have experienced the worst and sometimes the best of our BPDs.  A couple of years ago, I wrote the following poem which you might be able to relate to, and you might get some insight.  If it works for you, fine.  If not, thanks for your time!

"Birth, Later, And Now"

"Birth"

Harmonize

Synthesize

Empathize

Fantasize

"Later"

Civilized

Patronized

Demoralized

Trivilized

"Now"

Mobilize

Emotionalize

Exercise

Be wiser!

Someone I loved

once gave me a box of darkness.

It took me years to understand

that this, too, was a gift.

Saw this wee quote by Mary Olivier and had goose bumps how accurately this box of darkness describes the experience with a BPD significant other...
