I found out the uBPDexgf is now back with the ex-husband.

This is not a big surprise to me as she hinted some things a couple of weeks ago. She has had him on the hook for the last 3 years and he is very religious, and has been providing financial support for his stepson.

I know this is what she wanted (at least the last time I saw her) and hope it works out but I doubt it will. It seems like he is now being recycled. I am pretty sure she seduced him.

In any event I think this could provide me with an extended break from her... maybe long enough so I can totally detach and become indifferent.

The best case scenario I think is that he sticks it out with her infidelity because of his religious beliefs and dedication to the stepson. Worst case is he bails and then she will look for me.

I know him and he is a very good guy. Stayed with her for 7 years.

Worst case is he bails and then she will look for me.

Do you feel confident that if this does occur, she tries to get back with you, that you will handle the situation 'properly'?

Hell no.

But I feel more confident than before.

I am relieved in a sense but also a little disconcerted because if she tried to get back with me the next time she will be reeling and out of control.

He is a good guy with the patience of Job so I think this event provides an opportunity for a long reprieve.

Hell no.

I like your honesty.  Laugh out loud (click to insert in post)

So, without obsessing on it (as we sometimes can do - me included), what would you do if she contacted you in a dysregulated mode?

I hope I would be able to point her in the direction of her family in Mexico for support if that happens. I dont really know exactly what I would do. If she contacts me after this she will be in bad shape.

I can only hope things work out for her but history tells me it will not. He is a bigger rescuer than me... .  thankfully for me.

This is total craziness! I will not obsess. I am breathing a little sigh of relief.

That sounds like a good plan... .  point her to another area of support, and kindly maintain your boundaries.  Doing the right thing (click to insert in post)

I am going to try. Smiling (click to insert in post)

I certainly wish her happiness but I have a sinking feeling in my stomach about this ... .  like it is going to end very badly... .  not soon... .  but when it does... .  yikes.

This may be the break I am looking for to give me some extended space... .  yayyyyyyy!
