how do you get pwBPD to allow medical care for spouse

Can someone please point me in the right direction to convince my BPDh to pay for an exray I need. We do not have health insurance. I injured my knee 9 months ago.I finally had to see a Dr 4 months ago as I can barely walk.I currently am not working and have no money of my own. BPDh put a business in  my name and it faled and there isa $35k tax lien on ME so if I can get a job, the IRS  will get it. I do work a little making window treatments but try to keep that for food.( went 3 months without groceries once- not fun) I went to the dr. yesterday and paid for that visit but need an xray. I  mentioned it to him this morning and did not have good response. I said an xray after 9 months was not excessive in the dr. opinion.

How do you convince someone that medical care is not a luxury?
