I never thought I'd be one of those people who post things on internet forums, but I feel so alone and hurt. My BPD sister (16) has literally ruined me and my other sister's life. She carefully orchestrated my parent's divorce, and is now harassing my mother via text messages, etc. that after threats of killing my father with poision in his sleep. She now lives alone with my father, and has taken the role of his "wife". I am afraid of her (I am 29 years old), and have one more than one occasion had to hide away from her. She is extremely violent and abusive. The only thing that has made me feel better was when I read up on BPD, and it was like a flash of lightning. My sister has trained all of my parent's resources, and they are now dependent on me and my other sister (27). I know it horrible, but honestly I sometimes hope that she can just succeed with one of her various suicide attempts. I feel guilty for thinking this, but I cannot help it.

Hi, Lucy Brown, and  Welcome

I'm so sorry for all you and your family is going through! Things sound really tough, and I can understand your fears and stress. Do you have any type of help for this? Extended family? Friends? A Therapist? Do your parents have any type of help available to them?

One of the first things that might be wise for you to do is make a Safety Plan if you don't have one already. This link has information that can help with that: Safety First. Another link that can help you with navigating your way with your sister is this: The Do's and Don'ts for a BP relationship.

Have you had the chance to check out the Workshops and Articles on this site? You can check out those links and find the subjects that are most helpful to you. Your situation sounds terrible and serious, and I hope you keep yourself safe... .Please keep telling your story and asking your questions, and read all you can around here; it really will help

Hi Lucy Brown,

I want to join Rapt Reader in a warm welcome (she has some good advice and resources)!

Your situation does sound very serious, and I am so sorry you are going through this, and I feel also very sorry for your parents... .I understand your fear and also hope that you can keep yourself safe.

We all have 'horrible' thoughts when extreme situations happen, that is normal. Please don't be hard on yourself

And - Please keep in touch! You need suport to remain strong, this site is a great resource for that and also experienced members + articles etc... .
