Yesterday one of the mothers of the babies in the nursery I work in tried to cut her wrists and we got the call for help from her to call an ambulance. I think I went into shock a little. I had 8 babies in my care at this point with my coworker. We knew the baby was home with her and her other child was at our centre. She is okay. But it was the most gut wrenching experience.

It made me think of my ex and I felt so saddened for people who find themselves struggling like this. Just such a shame the beautiful things in life don't get the focus. I wish there was something we could do to help.

I felt really effected by yesterday. But this morning I got up had an organic banana and made my way to gym. Now off to work. I just wanted to wish everyone a really good day ahead. Try to do things that are good, for your own wellbeing, for you. Look after yourselves and be kind on yourselves. There is a lot of good and beauty out there. Find it and live it xo

It's sad, that 'bad' things often reminds you of the more important things in life.

had an organic banana

This made me laugh.  I thought what's wrong with regular bananas?

Thank you for the encouragement of this post.  People keep telling me to take care of myself and put myself #1.  I have no idea how to do that, but maybe one of these days I'll figure it out.

You do know how to put yourself on 1.

By putting yourself on 1.

Ask yourself, what is the first thing you want, which does not involve any contact with anyone? What do you truly want which doesn't depend on anybody?
