Lyrics for All of Us

Below is a song/poem I wrote to describe my feelings, hope you all enjoy:
I've lived this life for far too long
everything that I thought was right was wrong
I need this night to turn to dawn
I'm still waiting to be reborn
You'll never understand how it feels inside
how you slowly killed me while I slowly died
I know what it's worth and you know I tried
to make this love work but all our love was lies
I see now my love was for a desperate soul
How was I to know I couldn't make her whole
Even though it's true that it was me that bailed
I realize now it wasn't me that failed
The push and the pull just had me split
From white to black and that was it
I can't wrap my head around this strange dynamic
I'm feeling overwhelmed, hurt, depressed and manic
I tried to rescue you, I tried my best my sweet
But now I need to focus on trying to rescue me
