This is not a thread about the big struggles. Its more about frustration, at work, with family or friends, with the bus not coming or the bicycle without air in the wheels.

I had yesterday such a day partly. At the end I had to say to myself: I cannot change my students or my coworkers. I cannot resolve this. Let it like this, Surnia.

I went to bed and had a long night with very deep sleep. Today I went to the local market, which is full of newly grown vegetables, here winter is over. Lots of little plants, the first flowers and fruits. So beautiful. And I felt like back to life.  Smiling (click to insert in post)

What are your moments of being back in life, being grateful about little things?

Yesterday I found myself singing with passion to an upbeat song on the radio.  Other drivers probably thought I was crazy but it's been so long since I've done that. It felt so liberating.

I planted some nasturtiums.  The weather is beautiful here . Ive had some nice exchanges with my neighbours. The view of the ocean from my deck is amazing.

I am feeling more peace within myself and more connected to life. I am experiencing a happier and healthier NOW.

Thanks for your post Surnia.

Mine is music related also. I play guitar. I have enjoyed learning some new songs recently. I spent a lot of hours practicing them. In the last month about 10 songs. Avett Brothers & Dylan.

Peace,

Great post, Surnia.  :)I can relate to your day of many things going wrong!

Yet, I've been having wonderful moments of gratitude lately.  Riding the bus last night, I looked around at my city, and felt very lucky to live here.

Had some delicious Italian pizza and great conversation with a friend at dinner.  It felt so good to connect and feel that bond with each other.

Listened to some inspirational TED talks today and besides admiring the speakers' journeys, I felt waves of compassion and self-acceptance, too.

It feels good to be alive.

Wow, corraline, a view to the ocean. Sounds great!

And gardening is something great for me too.

TED talks are great too, thank you for the reminder, HAW

Re: gardening

My mom sent me this (not sure if they were her own words or not) But i really liked it.

Spring is about a new start. Part of the cycle of life. Plant flowers in the beliefs that good things are coming. Feel the richness of the earth and nurture the promise
