I know most episodes of dissociation only last a short time. Do some episodes last longer, like a month or more?

From what I have experienced with my pwBPD, a lot of his episodes have lasted weeks to months.

Was wondering because I had been reading about dissociation and it sounded a lot like what I had observed during me and my exgf breakup. She seemed dissociated for at least a month I think more. Would love more opinions on this.
