Hi, I'm amaranth, I'm a woman in her mid forties and my husband was just diagnosed last week with BPD. I have a lot to learn about the condition but I'm also relieved it finally has a name and maybe now we can find him the right help that he needs. He's tried several therapies but they were often not successful.

I have my own mental health challenges, I have a dissociative disorder and dysthymia (low level chronic depression), as well as physical fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. Taking care of my hubby along with a full time job and these health issues can be very challenging. I hope I can learn from this group how to not enable him so much but help him grow, and how to bring some of the responsibility back to him so it's less on me. I also hope i can offer support in return!

Hello and welcome! It sounds like your H is self-aware, and that's very good! It sure makes it easier to work with them when they are trying Smiling (click to insert in post) I am also trying to learn how to help my H grow maybe we can help each other! What strategies have you tried with your H?
