Before I write anything, I hope Skip/Mutt will let me post this, or at least move it to where they see necessary.

I came across a fantastic piece of literature, which explains how people are seen as objects and why they will do what ever it takes to be our perfect partners, it will answer a lot of whys? And will also fill in the blanks, I really had to post this because it has really helped me a lot, and I hope to help others along the way.

Jammo, I found this extremely helpful, particularly the explanation of how everyone outside the pwBPD feels threatening, whether that person is extending care, making demands, or whatever.  Because the childhood template of important others was set with those people always failing to care for the pwBPD, or doing things which felt like they led to the extinguishing of the pwBPD's independent self, and thus the only safety is to rebuff and exclude, even those who are attempting to extend care and kindness.

Thank you for posting.  It helped me further de-personalize what I still find it hard to de-personalize.
