Hi, I'm Camlann,

I realized talking to a therapist almost two years ago that my father had BPD. He died a year and a half ago right before his 92nd birthday. His wife has Narsisitic and Hysterical PD and my sister is a paranoid schizophrenic.

I'm looking at how a lifetime of abuse from my father has affected me and how I can heal. I am happy to have found this website.

Hi Camlann,

Welcome

I'd like to welcome you. I'm so sorry to hear that. I can see how invalidating, pain and distressing that would feel when a parent or family member is mentally ill and cause life long emotional wounds. Many members here can relate with you and offer guidance and support. I'm glad that you decided to join our discussions. It helps to talk. My father is mentally ill with traits of an anxiety disorder(s). I will leave you with a link for now. Welcome to the family.

I am happy to have found this website.

Sound like you've had a lot to deal with, but I'm happy you've found this website also, as it's helped me a great deal. As did Therapy. Look forward to hearing more from you if you feel the need to share. Welcome.
