Hello, everyone. I've just discovered this community, and this is my first post.

My middle-aged sister is likely to have BPD; everything that I've read from Kreger and Linehan strengthens that hypothesis in my mind. But we will likely never have a diagnosis, and I'm at a loss to know how to put our dysfunctional relationship on a healthier course. SHe's in bad shape now, and I know could use support and validation. But she has also hurt me badly, and I'm ambivalent about getting stuck in another insane, frustrating and pointless discussion. Any suggestions about how you started the conversation with your adult (likely) BPD sibling would be really welcome. Thanks!

Welcome StuckSister

So glad you've joined us, and thank you for your first post. It was just fine.  Doing the right thing (click to insert in post)

Have you taken time to read some of the points in the list to the right side of our board? ---->>  Anything you click on will open up to a larger window. It sounds like you've done some good and helpful reading. Now how to live it out? Do you have a T you have seen? They can be a great support too In addition to the wealth of information that you can find here. Interacting with others on the board here through your own posts and responding to others, sharing your stories, all these things will help you put into words what is going on and can help you to sort through life to help you. We welcome your input!

Here are a couple of links that I thought may be helpful. What are your thoughts after you have time to look at them?

You are not alone. I know this is beyond frustrating. Hang in there and take care of you first. It is okay to do so. Doing the right thing (click to insert in post)
