53 year old recovering from an emotional breakdown

Hi there- new member here. I am trying to pull out our an emotional breakdown that happened in late November. I was surprised to have all my childhood trauma w BPD mother & NPD father. Come exploding to the forefront of my life. I thought I had that taken care of and put way. I guess it needed revisiting. I’m learning new things and that’s good but this is a very painful process. I’m also really shocked and saddened by the realization of how much I’ve neglected my self care.
Yes, feeling isolated, lonely. Very low.

Hi Nora1,
What led up to the trauma exploding to the forefront of your life, and how can we help?

Hi Nora,
So sorry you are having to deal with this, it must be difficult for you. Many on hear have experienced something similar. Are you getting support, such as therapy, Drs etc... .? Have the Drs diagnosed anything (a nervous breakdown is not a medical term, its more a holding position).
If you are having memories jump back, could it be linked to C-PTSD ? You should find the website very supportive and understanding. As odd as your experiences may feel, often someone on here has had something similar. If your mind is throwing all this out, then it normally suggests talking about it should help. So feel free to talk about it. Do you know what may have provoked it ? Welcome by the way.
