I've wondered if Halsey has BPD.  Some of what she writes seems to capture it from their perspective...

https://youtu.be/N7SsCiAJ1dw - the dilemma between stifling self expression for others' sake and a seeing it as a double edged sword... a burning bright yet a devil side to it with a bit of fear about the devil

https://youtu.be/QNRHD5LkpCw - self flagellation and regret, recognition of hurts caused and a lack of control yielded to a horrible side inside

Here are some from my list that speak to me.

Duncan Sheik- Barley Breathing <- The Experience during push pull

"I've come to find, I may never know
Your changing mind, is it friend or foe?
I rise above or sink below
With every time you come and go
Please don't, you come and go"

Fuel- Hemorrhage
Fuel- Shimmer
Fuel- Falls on Me
<- All these speak to my experience during a recycle attempt by pwBPD
(Think song writer(s) must have dated a BPD and went on the roller coaster for sure :D )

Below are some of the lyrics from Peace of Mind by Above and Beyond (Acoustic mix for those of you who prefer something a bit more down tempo) or my personal favorite the original version.  Interesting I have never watched the official video and see it is about a guy trying to forget his girlfriend:

Excerpt
I lost all my riches
The diamonds in the mind
It turns out that this was the best thing to ever happen to me
Errors and glitches
What a way to find
That such hurt could bring you greater peace of mind

Ooh, bring me peace of mind
Ooh, bring me peace of mind

If you've ever lost every part of yourself
If you've left your heart on a lonely avenue
It will be only a matter of time
Before your life comes through for you

Overall a very inspiring message for those that have been hurt by someone with BPD.
