Beware of Junk Psychology... Just because it's on the Internet doesn't mean it's true. Not all blogs and online "life coaches" are reliable, accurate, or healthy for you. We are separated 2 years, it has been difficult to disconnect. Adult children are 19,23,26,35,41. Ex is making overatures of reconnecting. I have been grey rock and have no desire to reconnect. Youngest just suggested I send a quick text saying HMD! I think not. Thoughts?

We have been in a similar situation. My husband's ex did not react well to our marriage -- the adult children were happy for him. They are 39, 41, 45 now. Since we married 14 years ago, my DH sends a simple text -- "Happy Mother's Day!"

Anything else, even after 15 years, gives her an opening he doesn't want to deal with.
