Hi,
Some ideas to try in the meantime:
1. Psychology Today .com offers names of psychs and their specialties.
2. Crisis center has lists of psychs . Most counties in the DC metro area have crisis center hotline numbers.
3. Health insurance may have a list.

Swimmy55,
Thank you for the response. Actually I have utilized the Psychology Today for therapist. Most do not specialize in BPD behavior. I haven't reached out to crisis lines, but that could be a possibility. Thank you for the suggestions.

Make sure and look for people that have experience (say 20 years or more) and hopefully find experienced people with a PhD
Most of those are well versed in BPD...even if they don't advertise it. (many don't but will take the case...on a case by case basis)
Point being...these cases are not for newbies.
Best,
FF

If you go to the web address below, you can find a list of Washington therapists who have received training from Marsha Linehan's organization:

I have found that a number of attachment therapists have training in BPD and do well as many patients have PTSD as well.

I am searching for the same, a specialist in BPD in DELMARVA area. Did you have any luck finding someone? Could you pass on your findings? Her current therapist is a "newbie" and causing more harm than good.
