Hello-
Just found this group. My son(28) is newly diagnosed with BPD. Was diagnosed previously as bipolar. Not sure what are next steps for him- he left for in patient treatment today for a month or more. So hard being on this merry go round….

Hello Mgardin and welcome to the group  Welcome new member (click to insert in post)

I hope you're able to get some much needed rest and time to self care during the month or so your son is an in-patient. Did your son voluntarily sign up for in-patient treatment? My DD was diagnosed at 26 back in 2015, I'd never heard of BPD. Are they saying it's BPD and not bi-polar, or is it co-morbid as can be the case.

I hope you can step off the merry go round here with us, to firmer ground.  Virtual hug (click to insert in post)
