About 30 year of marriage and the time is here. Therapy or divorce. My SO chose therapy, perhaps as a manipulation to keep me in, but I can't be certain of it. Sad but I cannot trust! I guess I will see. Where and how do I find good help and reference?

Hi 4Whatnow?

Therapy is cheaper than divorce and it does not last as long.

Rebuilding trust, and later intimacy will take time.  Have you selected a counsellor yet?  You might want to find someone who know about BPD.  When I was looking for a counsellor I called my local mental health treatment center, explained what I was up against, and they gave me some names of local counsellors who they thought would help me the most.

Let us know how this works.  Thirty years is a long time (I'm almost at 19 years) and I'm glad to hear he's agreed to try to salvage it.  Good luck to both of you.
