Yep! But they are for Australia   tricked you eh?

Do I think it's important for us all here? - yep, I do! check it out... .  www.nhmrc.gov.au/guidelines/publications/mh25

Hot of the press is the Australian National Guidelines for BPD - and available to us all here! I have only had a chance to skim through this marvellous work. The table of contents deserves to be read, if nothing else... .  there is so much stuff that we would find helpful to us, for example:

  • those struggling to manage treatment and therapists: at the back of the book is a template for a treatment plan... .

  • those who are interested in the research on pharmacological treatment, see chapter 5.2, page 59

  • those worried about possible suicide for their beautiful children, pg 128 has a table that is so easy to read and sets out clearly, based on research, how real our worries are, or aren't.

all parents worried about our children's treatments should carefully read the relevant chapter 7. Here is a short heart warming extract:

"health professionals can develop good working relationships with families, partners and carers of people with BPD by acknowledging their important role in the person’s recovery, recognising their personal knowledge of the person, and respecting their views and concerns (Table 7.1). Such a relationship enables effective collaboration in the person’s care. Families, partners and carers can reasonably expect the service provider to communicate with them effectively and to share information that is important to ensure the person receives quality care." Clinical Practice Guideline for the Management of Borderline Personality Disorder (2012), published May 2013, online at www.nhmrc.gov.au/guidelines/publications/mh25 Ref no: mh25; ISBN: 1864965657

Why don't you have a look at let us know what you find interesting... .

cheers!

Vivek  with a happy
