It may well be somewhere here on these boards or workshops and I just haven't run across it yet, but I found something just doing rambling searches about FOG on the internet.  I have been doing some self examination wondering why I have been so susceptable to her FOG/control in the past. I found an article on another web site and it was broken down into very simple terms, terms that I felt I had to take ownership of and make it a point to improve on these traits as much as I can as part of my personal growth.

It noted that the part of us that opens "us" up to emotional blackmail are: "An excessive need for approval, An intense fear of anger, A need for peace at any price, A tendency to take too much responsibility for other people's lives, A high level of self-doubt."

Not that these are all bad traits but are the traits that we have that leave us vulnerable to a pwBPD. I realize this may be common knowledge for some but for whatever reason I found it profound.

Can you put the link up? I've never heard this expression FOG. Most likely have been a victim of it though... .

yes, good points, all these behaviours were valable for me too ... .    Many of us bring our own issues in the rs.

And yes, there is a workshop here about FOG: What it means to be in the FOG.
