I realised my so UBPD hubby toxic family situation a few years ago and as a family (our two young sons) have made great improvements since moving away.

But his mother plays on my mind, I'm trying to analysis her, but can't work it out.

These Are the things I'm definite about, she's ocd with cleaning, alcoholic, no empathy very cold, refuses to go to doctors and hasn't for 20years, has bouts of anti social behaviour but then can be very social drinking. Good with money, and work. Has run own successful buisness. Always kept up her appearances and weight under control.

Very insulting at times to all daughter inlaws in relation to losing baby weight and gaining fitness... .Very strange... .

Prefers to smoke and drink then enjoy the grandchildren ( even if hasn't seen them for 6 months)

Her husband always complains how moody she can be.

My so has always said she was a cold hearted bhit of a mother that he still competes for her acceptance. (That she hardly gives)

Definite queen.

It feels like she's BPD but very high functioning. And some criteria just don't match?
