my BPD g/f has a three stage cycle. yeah stage last around a month and then it all starts over again
stage 1 depression lasting about a months. this stage starts in the fall as we begin to lose day light. the depression over comes her around xmas and she gos manic... .only word i know that fits her act
stage 2 totaly out of control this stage starts in the early spring. drinking to much spending to much lying about the smallest of things. then she wants to be single and move out. after about a month she will crash and becomes the peron i fell in love with again.
stage 3 shes caring giving has goals wants to work on our family life treats everyone good. this also last around a month
the remaining three months of the year are filled with day to day minn cycles just like the biger cycle.
when i frist met her the cycle took almost six months to go all the way around. over the past six going on seven years ive seen the cycle speed up to the point we are at now, about every two weeks she gos into a new stage of the cycle, its going so fast these days im not sure how much more of this life she can stand.

If you are experience regular prolonged mood swings rather than just quick reactions to situations, you may also be dealing with bipolar. Have you considered this?

Is she on any meds for bipolar? As it is a mood disorder rather than personality disorder, meds are more effective for bipolar rather than for personality disorders
