I've been on dates with a girl that shares some of the friends that my ex has. But, she doesn't really know my ex. Is that weird?

Orinally my ex rang me up and raged that I was seeing one of her brothers friends, but cried when I told her I had been on dates with this girl. I told her that it shouldn't be a concern because she's seeing my replacement again.

The new girl has obviously spoke about me to the mutual friends & she keeps saying how much the speak my praises and they keep asking for us all to meet up for drinks. I'm just a little concerned, is it too close to home in regards to my ex?

I'm still worried about what she thinks... .

It is not a problem as long as you aren't using your new friend. Doing that would be lowering yourself to your exes level.

Hmmm... . any comments about the new girl?

The concern here is that you are seeing someone new and referencing your ex.  As Waif said, the issues are the facts about who knows who, but rather how you are thinking and acting in regard to them.

In any event, this new girl might not be too thrilled if your reactions to the evening were to be thinking how the ex would react.

If I am hearing what your saying, it sounds like your worried about what new girl will think in regards to the ex. The ex is the ex for a reason. If your dwelling on thoughts like this then maybe your not ready for a new relationship.
