My daughter, 32 years of age, mother of a 1 year old sun is diagnosed as having BPD traits.

After her delivery, she developed post partum depression, which affected her severely that she had to be hospitalised twice.

How can I help her control her life without medications?

Why are you not wanting her to use medication - is it causing her difficulties?

Hi Chandraspicy

Welcome

Glad to have you here.  So sorry to hear that your daughter is suffering so.  Being a new  mom is very draining and having PPD and traits of BPD must be overwhelming for her.  I'm sure you worry about her and baby too!

How is she doing now that the baby is a year old?  Has her depression lessened any?  Does she live with you?

I too would like to better understand the problem with medications for your daughter.

Have you learned much yet about BPD and the traits of the disorder?  We have loads of information here on the site that can help you help her and yourself!

If you click on any of the skills and tools to the right of your screen you will find them.

Look forward to hearing back from you soon and learning how to best support you and answer your questions.
