I’ve often seen in writing that “Laughter is the best medicine”. And in truth if you ridicule something it becomes less scary. So as someone with a track record in comedy writing, the following two American situation comedies are based on characters with Personality Disorders, and as such address many of the issues such as triangulation. They’ve helped me immensely so I hope they may help you:

Everyone Loves Raymond. The mother is BPD and there’s clear triangulation of her kids, to much comedy effect. It’s believed to be based on his real family –  so quiet audacious.

Two and a Half men.  The mother is NPD/BPD who's son is played by Charlie Sheen ( who’s believed to have NPD in real life).

Alan Partridge A Narcisstic character played by Steve Coogan, played as soft and foolish. They even depict his erotic fantasies, and he lives in a Holiday Inn then gets a mail order bride. For me this is the funniest depiction of NPD, superb if you like British comedy (he was a big hit).

Let me know if you know any others, or find these helped you.
