Suspect my ex added me through a fake Facebook profile

Has anyone had experience with this? This has been part of a string of indirect contact with my uBPDex. Firstly I realised she was still subscribed to my Youtube account. I upload occasionally, so I uploaded a video I had been working on (Not aimed at her, just what I would regularly post) hoping she would realise and unsubscribe. I left it for 2 weeks then a week ago found out that she had unsubscribed which was a relief, it is what I wanted. But then on that same day I received a friend request from a woman I didn't recognise, no mutual friends. She lived in the same city as me, went to a university close to me, so I figured I may as well add her in case it was someone I met who.
It was clearly a new account, didn't have many friends none of the friends were mutual, but there was one who I recognised as a friend of my ex. It struck me as pretty strange, but it slipped my mind. So a few days ago I realised I hadn't seen anything posted by this girl, so I went to check the profile. The friend of my ex was no longer on the friends list and every other friend was from a foreign country ranging from Spain to Africa, except two people from my university. It seemed like they had been added fairly randomly or just by clicking through suggested friends. I am not sure it would have been possible for me to be added that way, since even though two people went to my university, I was not friends with them and had never interacted with them. This really set off alarms.
I reverse imaged searched the profile picture and found it was literally the second result if you typed "average girl" into Google images. So I immediately removed the profile from my friends list. I didn't attempt to contact the profile at all to verify if it was her.
Is this common BPD behaviour? I'm thinking it is either my ex or her replacement checking up on me. I don't post very often so I am not overly concerned with her knowing places I go etc. It has just freaked me out a bit knowing that she may have done this and had full access to my profile. Does anybody have experience with this kind of behaviour?
