my mother is 81 yrs old she is widow as far as i could remember mama makes me feel little and make me depreciate my worth especially if she wants for me to do chores errands.mama is strict since she brought me and my sister to the point that i have no playmates and friends till am 48 yrs now .mama always compares me with my sister which lost my selfworth eventually my emotional break when i was athird year college student subsequently my dropping out of school.she blames my break that i have fallen in love with the opposite sex but in truth my having a crush was to fill the void psychological and emotional emptiness.mama n i quarrel o lot of times there is no day that is without it. she is so meticulous in pinpointing ig you do what she dictates.

Hi scorpioxxx,
Do you live with her, and has this dynamic of you being a little child in her eyes never changed?

Hi scorpioxxx
I’m sorry you argue everyday with your mama. It was the same in my household, took me a long time to realise some BPD will always ensure things kick off every day. So hard as it is, don’t take it personally. But there are techniques on this website that can help lessen that. Such as using S.E.T. etc... .
The good news is that you are among brothers/sisters in arms here. BPD behaviour is fairly predictable so as bizarre as your mama’s behaviour may seem, there will be others on this website that understand, and often have helpful solutions to offer.
You also talk about daily denigration, which I’m sure you know is not good for anyone’s mental health. Bearing in mind an 81 BPD is unlikely to change, what would you like to do about your current situation?
