i know we do not get a lot of victories, but I actually feel sorry for my BPD girlfriend. she told the therapist about all the horrible messages text and emails i send to here while she was outside of the country. the therapist insisted on seeing the stuff, she could not produce at first and later showed some and the therapist looked at her and said he is not the problem you are pushing him and insulting and he never reacts. she came fuming telling me i had contacted her therapist and invaded her privacy once again. i never did the therapist called to warn me that i am not going to have a nice day be prepared. she also had to admit some of her flaws and her violence. that didn't suit her either. i believe it is good progress. she can't change therapists like she has done in the past, her employee refused. karma

its great that your partner is in therapy and great that you are supporting her. it will be a most challenging period, and progress will likely be measured over a long period of time, with perhaps dramatic ups and downs.

Wow... .I feel sorry for her as well. She is attempting to get others to believe in her own disordered alternate reality, and that is a "battle" she'll never win. She is only on a collision course with herself... .and that may go less well than you might expect. How would you feel if you had to realise that blue was actually red and white was purple?... .based on what everyone else believed. It would seriously screw with your head. This is so much more serious.

Progress can be 3 steps forward and 2 steps back. Be prepared.
