Hey guys, have not posted for a while.

I've been out of regular contact with my BPD ex for the best part of 5 months now. I do hear from her about once a month and I've just accepted that.

I am doing really well, living in a nice new house share, have quit caffeine and am working out regularly. I look like a human being again!

I did meet a new girl in march but called it off as I detected early red flags.

I am at the stage now where I realize that we both made mistakes, neither of us was fit for a relationship, in my case I've been working on self improvement. But she isn't and I don't think will for a long time.

I am feeling much better than I was at any time during our long rs other than the first month or two of idealization.

I do have concerns that she may one day make a major attempt at a recycle, but otherwise no major issues.

Nc or as lc as possible and work on yourself, the dark shadow will eventually lift

Great to hear you are moving on and taking good care of yourself. Many come to these boards worn out and emotionally devastated. This sort of testimony is very helpful for such readers.

It took a long time getting there. I hope others can heal faster than I did. But I was a particularly bad case so if I can make it anyone can

Doing the right thing (click to insert in post) Thank you for sharing your update Inferno! Doing the right thing (click to insert in post)

I think we both came to this site at a similar time.  I recall your struggles some.  I appreciate you sharing and am very happy for you!

I feel I am not completely healed, mostly there, but have had some bumps and plateaus along the way.

You mention quitting caffeine and working out, terrific!  I'm glad you point this out, it is a good reminder to me that the times in my healing journey that I have felt the best are times I have done well to care for my physical body well.  (Eating better, exercise, etc.)

Good deal Infern0.  It sounds like you are making some significant strides forward, both in healing and learning.  It does get better with time.   Smiling (click to insert in post)
