Sad
« on: April 18, 2016, 08:43:07 PM »

I've been with my partner for four years.  He didn't start off like this I feel like he was a different person before we got romantically involved .  Over the past four years his behavior has escalated and he has sought out treatment.  He's currently being treated for bipolar but I truly think he has BPD.  We are currently separated and although the relationship isn't perfect I dnt fully no why. He tells me daily how much he hates me and wants me only so he can get on his feet.  I feel like he doesn't really mean what he says but I also think I may be in denial.  I feel like I'm with a mean stranger and we are stuck in each other's lives because we have a child.  I'm just so sad about the whole situation.

Hi Supersad,

Welcome and hello  Smiling (click to insert in post)

Thanks for telling us a little about what brings you here. It can be hard to define the difference between bipolar and BPD, and they can even both exist together. What kind of treatment is he receiving? Medication? Therapy?

That must hurt to hear him say he hates you every day  :'( Is it always hateful, or does he ever have periods of tenderness?

How old is your child? What kind of arrangement do you to raise your child together?

I'm glad you found the site and hope you let us know how you're doing.
