Hi
« on: October 04, 2016, 08:04:15 AM »

I read breaking up with BPD partner and it resonated with me so much, every word. I left my wife of 20+ years to be with this woman and there are times when I have been the unhappiest I have ever been and feeling suicidal. I'm a survivor and I'm glad to still be here. Any messages of support, advice etc very much appreciated. I'm 50 she is 43.

Welcome

I'm sorry to hear that you find yourself in this situation. I think that we can all relate to feeling some of the "unhappiest times" in our lives in our relationships with a person with BPD (pwBPD).

Perhaps if you provided us with some more details about where you are at in the relationship it might help. Are the two of you still a couple? Did one of you end the relationship, and if so who and how did it end? Where do you want all of this to go?

Hi Bpd boyfriend,

Welcome

I'd like to join Meili and welcome you.  I was confused with my ex wife's behaviors for years and I read the break-up article and I astounded by how our r/s played out exactly like that article outlined. Finally, there was a reason and a name for how my ex wife was behaving - borderline personality disorder. I've felt suicidal myself in the past, have you talked to your MD about depression? I'm glad that you decided to join us, it helps to talk.
