Hi Confusedpe,
In my relationship, pwBPD was not particularly obsessive.
What was your experience? Were you afraid?

Hi Confusedpe
Would you mind sharing more? What do you mean by an obsessive partner?

If you mean a partner that will not leave you alone no matter how many times you tell them, and walk away, yes I understand. A PWBPD fears abandonment (loosing an attachment) more than anything; any attention you give them (doesn't matter how negative) shows them an attachment is still there. The more emotional you are with trying to get them to leave you alone, the more they will cling to you; maintain complete NC, don't respond at all to any attempts at contact (if you can't avoid contact, be as non-emotional and boring as possible).
My ex. called me 2 nights ago after about 6 months of NC, left messages, I just deleted them and am continuing NC on my end. You never can be sure if you have heard the last from them; the key is to be detached enough that it doesn't bother you.
