VIDEO: "What is parental alienation?" Parental alienation is when a parent allows a child to participate or hear them degrade the other parent. This is not uncommon in divorces and the children often adjust. In severe cases, however, it can be devastating to the child. This video provides a helpful overview.

My parents have just notified me that they have received an email from my BPD.  This is day 7 no contact from me after she last week threatened me with stalking/restraining order and contacting my work if I ever contacted her again.

Im not sure how to interpret her actions.

The email essentially tells my parents that - I am no longer her spouse, that she doesnt want me as her friend and that she doesnt want me in her life.  She also says in the email that she maybe considered being friends with me but now thinks its a no.  She also several times says that she has forgiven me and that she will pray for me !

I feel a complete mix of emotions.  One that she seems determined to just completely blank me out of her life having dropped divorce on me in such a cruel way (see my previous posts) and secondly that she wants to blame what has happened on me.

She was the one that filed for divorce,  she was the one that threatened to falsely report me for raping her, she was one that punched me, she was the one whose insane jealously prevented us moving forwards.

I cant do anything to reply too her as I still dont know if she is bluffing regarding contacting an attorney / my work if in her own words - i even dare to email her again.  I still dont even know if the divorce papers were actually submitted to the US court as im in the UK.  Does anyone in the US know if there is a way I could find out without having to use a lawyer ?

Hi CooperD,

I'd be confused too with a move from an ex like that. It's common for a pwBPD to not take ownership of their actions in a  r/s and blameshift / project their responsibilities on others. I agree with you that it's not worth the risk with contacting her.
