Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in

It's been a LONG time since I was here (why did I ever leave?)
Well, this last time I didn't hear from him for 16 weeks (that's 4 months of silent treatment). I loved detaching and feeling like I had weight off my shoulders. Then 2 days after Thanksgiving, he called and left me a phone message. I didn't return call, and then the following Thursday I saw his info on callerID at work and made the mistake of taking his call. Of course, he acted like nothing happened. We've been in contact ever since, and I am back to being his dumping ground for all his problems.
I can't find my intro post (forgot how this site works). Just want to say HI to everyone and come to a safe place where we all understand.

Hi gifttomyself
There you go:
https://bpdfamily.com/message_board/index.php?topic=201528.msg12256370#msg12256370
If you have caller ID on your personal and work lines--remember the choice to pick up or not is up to you. If you have a phone system, call your workplace's technical staff to find out how to silence specific calls if they come in. Setting up a number block won't be much use as he may react by calling your company's main line. I hope that helps.
You can find support here.
