I have been married to BPD for 21 years, have 2 kids,son(18 years-who moved out with his girl friend),and daughter 20 years old is still at home. I feel the relationship is over and not sure what to do.I have known about BPD for last 10 years and have used the Book Walking on Egg shells to come this far.My kids still dont know what is going on,and am not sure when I should tell them about their parent.

Thanks for having this group,.

Hi Sabar

Welcome!

I've used that book as well. It was the first one I read to cope with my relationship. If you relate to that book closely, you'll find your story will resemble many peoples' stories here. You'll find support from us.

It's important you address what you want your kids to know and what you might want to consider telling them. Here are some ideas about what you can share with your children regarding your co-parent:

It seems you have some understanding on how to communicate with the pwBPD, so perhaps looking at giving yourself space to think may help you care for yourself:

I look forward to your sharing more of your story.   Smiling (click to insert in post)

Hey Sabar, Welcome!  We can help you find your way through the BPD Forest, though I wouldn't presume to answer that question.  Each person, in my view, has to find the right path for him/her, which is not easy.  There's no map!  Do you have any particular questions?  What would you like to see happen?  I know that might be a tough question.
