Can someone enlighten me why my 39 y/o daughter has not ever spoken to me in 12 years, except to tell me that I have caused all her problems when I managed to contact her with some information.

I am fairly certain that she cut me off for 2 reasons:
1-she experienced feeling abandoned when I moved overseas for 2.5 years for work.
2-She was embarrassed by her choices and did not want me to see her behavior.

When her father abandoned us in 1997, I think she withheld her own pain as a young 11 yo child because she knew how hurt I was and became quite protective about me. Plus she was probably confused.

Thanks, OurWorld

For more information: my daughter had to leave her husband when he went in psychosis last year from his undiagnosed schizophrenia (finally diagnosed now according to him), he had hallucinations since 2019.

My daughter’s dad passed away 3 years after leaving, but I never had informed her about this because I did not know she cared.

She has a superior genius IQ and is a silent, high-functioning undiagnosed person with most BPD symptoms, the only one she doesn’t have (thankfully) is she is not self-harming or suicidal.
