First post here. I'm currently dealing with two parents who show signs of BPD and both think the other has it. It's very confusing and I don't know what the truth is most of the time. I'm seeking help because I've started to show really troubling traits. I've stolen about $350 from my mom, and I have uncontrollable spending, disordered eating, and I've been having stealing urges my whole life. I also have PTSD unrelated to my parents due to an abusive ex-partner and a s*xual ass*ult.

Hi, it is so good to hear you are getting help.  I think it is normal to have urges that are against the rules, or law after a long, abusive relationship.  Perhaps stealing from your mom was your way to win a fight, or show you were in control?  No judgement at all.  You are trying to make yourself better.  What makes you think your parents possibly have BPD?
