Has anyone else come out of this whole sorry and sad mess of dealing with BPD people (mine was an exdil and I'm lucky we have virtually no contact now), stronger?

I think I have developed a sense of humour (maybe a bit black at times) and have decided I will not be treated badly ever again! I have a passive aggressive  SIL and my husband tends to be that way at times. I have let it slide for peace but have now decided, no more. I won't fight but I have decided there are alot of people out there who use others as punching bags in one way or another and it's unacceptable. Kindness and civility cost nothing.

I thank the exdil for giving me the strength to do this. Does anyone else feel this way?

Dad to my wolf pack

In short,  yes. I'm a survivor.

I take it for granted that members here will validate me for the most part,  but so many people in real life have as well.

The only thing not entirely good is that I may have a tolerance due excrement now that is far below the threshold of the norm.

Hi Turkish I think you're right. My tolerance for "garbage" is way lower and I think my antenna for said "garbage" is way higher. I seem to recognize it much sooner and am way more prepared to act on it.
I guess I now think I am worth more and even though ex dil caused so much pain and heartache I thank her for that!
