I know this is different from country to country, and depends on the levels of jurisdiction involved, but maybe we can collect some data on how much it costs to get more time with a child. I mean on the long term, not in ones single trial. How much did you spend by now?

If you want, write down what you "got" for your money. Did you succed in court? Was it a longlasting success or was it changed back some time after?

HI setting borders, I'm on my phone so I will be brief. I had a female attorney, and my ex tried to contact/triangulate her. She used this to our advantage as he wanted to impress her, so he didn't put up a fight. I had him agree to a dissolution, no cash out of pocket and he signed a quit claim on my house (which I had owned 8 years previously, he had moved in with me the 16 months or so we were married). I paid for everything related to the divorce and he just walked away. He stole cash from me and I gave him the wedding rings I had bought so he could sell them. All in all, I did ok. It could have been a lot worse if I had decided to try and stick it out with him.and continue marriage counseling. Luckily him screaming "I Hate You!" at me knocked some sense into me that I was dealing with far more than just a bad temper. It's over now, I'm fine and my boys are still working on forgiving me for putting them through that. Good luck to you as well!

So you say that a good attorney it worth every cent? I totally agree. We all would loose so much more if we had stayd in these relationships. Not only money, but also.
Good wishes for you and I like to hear that you're so much better of alone.
