I saw her kids walking my dog whilst I was in a taxi, it hurt.
That was our dog as she promised but it was a broken promise just like all the others.
Actually it was OUR dog but I lost out.

Sounds like the hurt is still fresh... Be strong and remember the worst part is over and it's time to start to heal and find a real relationship... I promise as some time passes you will look back and realize it was the best thing that could have happened.

She new how hard is was for me to get another dog after my last one, I told myself I never would.
She talked me into it saying how it would fix problems that are too long to explain, I only had the dog for 2 weeks, it fixed a problem for a few days then she let me down with the arrangements she promised and it turned out to make things worse and lead to the end.
I know without explaining that you can't understand.
I was hoping they didn't still have it because non of them knew the first thing about how to raise a puppy.
To them it was vicious (10 week old pup), and they said it only liked me. That was because I knew how to treat it, they treated it like a rag doll then complained when it ripped their clothes, it was just playing.
Explaining that the rougher you are the more excited and rougher it will play fell on deaf ears.
So seeing it was two fold apart from it had grown and I wouldn't recognise it,
It hurt seeing it and hurt knowing they still had it.
It's probably ruined as opposed to how it would have grown up with me and that is not me being big headed it's just the the truth.

Hugs my friend if it didn't hurt you wouldn't be a caring and kind person as I know you are. Stay strong and keep sharing. And as we all know. The truth and or logic doesn't do much with them.

Hey In a bad way, I'm sorry to hear. It hurts, doesn't it? Posting on here is a good step. Maybe you could do something else to process your feelings, such as: meet with a friend or family member, to discuss, write in a journal, get exercise outdoors, schedule an appointment with a T, etc. LJ

I know how it feels. Mine sent me a photo of "our" dog and it nearly brought tears to my eyes. Take it as a masterclass in the art of manipulation; the things they can do to bring you to your knees. Try to never be in that situation. I told myself I wouldn't get another one too, but never say never... .keep your mind opened to better things and new possibilities.
